Bare Conductors

Bare conductors are electrical conductors without insulation, usually made of copper or aluminum. They are used in power systems for the transmission and distribution of electricity, mainly in transmission lines. Due to the absence of insulation, they are suitable for outdoor use, where there is sufficient distance between the conductors and other objects to avoid the danger of a short circuit. Their main advantage is economy and simple maintenance, while their use is limited to situations where safety standards are met.
